Sheffield on kaupunki Etelä-Yorkshiren kreivikunta|kreivikunnassa Englanti|Englannin pohjoisosassa. Kaupungin asukasluku vuonna 2005 oli noin 520 700, ja sen metropolialueen noin 1,8 miljoonaa. Sheffield on Englannin yhdeksän suurimman kaupungin joukossa, ja maan nopeimmin kasvava liiketoiminnan keskus Lontoon ulkopuolella.
Sheffield on maailmankuulu metalli- ja terästeollisuudestaan, jonka juuret ulottuvat ainakin 1300-luku|1300-luvulle. Terästeollisuus oli vastuussa kaupungin räjähdysmäisestä kasvusta teollinen vallankumous|teollisen vallankumouksen aikana 1800-luku|1800-luvulla.
