Blackpool on merenrantakaupunki Irlanninmeri|Irlanninmeren rannikolla Luoteis-Englanti|Englannissa. Se on perinteisesti ollut osa Lancashirea, mutta vuonna 1998 siitä tehtiin yhden tason hallintoyksikkö. Toisin kuin naapurikaupungit, Blackpool on lähes täysin kaupungistunutta ja asutettua. Väentiheys onkin jopa 4,086/km² ja pinta-alaltaan 34.92 km²:n suuruisella alueella asuu noin 143 000 asukasta, joista yli 98 % on valkoista väestöä.
Blackpool on hyvin riippuvainen turismista. Sen tärkeitä matkailukohteita ovat kolme vanhaa satamalaituria, Eiffel-tornia muistuttava Blackpool Tower ja Blackpool Pleasure Beachin huvipuisto. Kaupunki oli työväenluokan suosittu lomakohde teollistuminen|teollistumisen alkuajoista aina 1960-luku|1960-luvulle asti. Alueella on hienot uimarannat, mutta ilmaston takia viihdykkeitä kuten huvipuistoja ja peliluolia on tarvittu myös sisätiloihin.
Muita merkittäviä työnantajia ovat pankkitoiminta, valtion yritykset, urheiluautovalmistaja TVR sekä muut sekalaiset yritykset. Suuri osa Blackpoolin asukkaista työskentelee kaupan alalla. Blackpoolissa on myös lentokoneteollisuutta ja se on tunnettua kylpyläseutua.
