Leipzig: Guide

Leipzig () on Saksassa sijaitseva kaupunki. Nykyään asukkaita on 499 660 (31. elokuuta 2005). Leipzig sijaitsee Pleiße-, White Elster- ja Parthejokien yhtymäkohdassa. Ei ole varmaa tietoa, milloin Leipzig perustettiin, mutta varhaisin maininta siitä on eräässä asiakirjassa vuodelta 1015.

Ennen Toinen maailmansota|toista maailmansotaa asukasluku oli enimmillään noin 750 000. Kaupungin pormestarina toimii Burkhard Jung. Lepizigin lähellä sijaitsee Colditzin linna, jota käytettiin sotavankilana II maailman sodan aikaan.
