Aalen: Guide
Aalen on kaupunki Saksa|Saksassa, Baden-Württemberg|Baden-Württembergin osavaltiossa ja sijaitsee n. 70 km Stuttgart|Stuttgartin itäpuolella. Kaupungin asukasluku on n. 67 000 (2005).
Aalenin juuret ovat roomalaisten sotilaiden leiripaikassa noin vuodelta 150, mutta varsinainen nykyinen kaupunki on noin tuhat vuotta nuorempi.
Vuosina 1360-1802 Aalen tunnettiin vapaakaupunkina.
Kaupungin elinkeinoelämän rungon muodostaa metalliteollisuus, lisäksi on mm. paperi- ja tekstiilituotantoa. Aalenissa on myös terveyskylpylä ja entisestä kaivoksesta muodostettu ilmastohoitola Astma|astmapotilaille.
