Hyères sijaitsee Ranskan Rivieralla 15 km Toulonista itään ja on Välimeri|Välimeren lomakeskuksista vanhin. Hyèresissä oli vuonna 1999 53 258 asukasta. Place de la Républiquella on 1200-luvulla rakennettu kirkko, jossa Ranskan kuningas Ludvig Pyhä rukoili 1254 palattuaan ristiretkeltä.
