Zakopane: Guide
Zakopane on eteläisessä Puolassa aivan Slovakian rajan tuntumassa sijaitseva noin 28 000 asukkaan (2004) kaupunki, joka tunnetaan erityisesti talviurheilukeskuksena. Tatravuoriston juurella sijaitseva Zakopane perustettiin vuonna 1578. Kaupunkioikeudet se sai vuonna 1933.
Zakopane kuuluu mäkihyppy|mäkihypyn vuosittaisten mäkihypyn maailmancup|maailmancupin osakilpailuiden pitopaikkoihin. Se on ollut myös kolmesti isäntänä Hiihdon maailmanmestaruuskilpailut|hiihdon maailmanmestaruuskilpailuille: vuosina 1929, 1939 ja 1962.
