Napoli (, etymol. , ’uusi kaupunki’) on Etelä-Italian suurin kaupunki ja Campanian pääkaupunki. Siellä on noin miljoona asukasta, esikaupungit mukaan lukien 3,7 miljoonaa. Se sijaitsee Vesuvius|Vesuviuksen ja toisen tuliperäisen alueen, Campi Flegrein puolivälissä.
Ruokaa
Perimätiedon mukaan pizza on kotoisin Napolista. Kaupunkilaisten mukaan kahvi ja jäätelö ovat Napolissa maailman parhaita. Kaupunki on kuuluisa myös pastaruoistaan, joista esimerkkinä spaghetti con sugo di pomodoro, spagettia tomaattikastikkeessa, jonka koko juju ovat Campanian rinteillä kypsyneet San Marzano -tomaatit.
Nähtävyyksiä
Napolin tärkeimmät nähtävyydet ovat kaupungin ulkopuolella: Pompeji, Herculaneum ja Vesuvius. Itse kaupungissa on arkeologinen museo johon on siirretty "parhaat palat" Pompeijista.
